Data Deletion
1) Delete app-private data (recommended)
HDown stores temporary download parts and resume metadata inside the app’s private storage. To delete this data:
- Open the app → Settings
- Tap Clear All Private Data
- Confirm the warning (this action stops active downloads)
This removes:
- temporary parts (
.part) and temp output files (.tmp) in app cache, - encrypted resume state stored in the app internal store (for example
filesDir/hdown_secure_store).
2) Delete downloaded files (public Downloads)
Completed downloads may be stored in your device’s Downloads folder (public storage). To delete those files:
- Use your file manager’s Downloads section, or
- Use Android’s Downloads/Files app, or
- Go to Android Settings → Storage and delete the files from Downloads.
3) Clear data from Android system settings (full reset)
If you want to reset everything HDown stores privately:
- Android Settings → Apps → HDown → Storage & cache
- Tap Clear storage and/or Clear cache
Note: This will remove the app’s private data. It typically does not remove files already saved to the public Downloads folder.
4) No accounts
HDown does not require an account and does not provide account sync. There is no account deletion process.
